The best places to get a Sunday Roast in Cornwall

We think the perfect wintery Sunday is a cosy fire and a roast dinner – we are so lucky living in Cornwall with the wonderful amount of places we can go to enjoy a Sunday roast. 


Here’s some of our favourite places to get a Sunday roast in Cornwall this winter, you’ll be spoilt for choice…..


The Ferryboat Inn, Helford

The magical Ferryboat Inn is a wonderful place to enjoy a Sunday roast. It has one of the most idyllic locations in Cornwall with beautiful views across the timeless Helford Passage. The pub lies in an unspoilt cove with direct access to the beach and water, it’s surrounded by lovely walks along the South Coast including the nearby Trebah Gardens. They have a ‘farm to table’ philosophy and serve the most delicious, seasonal, local ingredients in their Sunday roast.


Upperdeck, Falmouth

Located in Falmouth Yacht Marina, Upperdeck is a modern bar and restaurant with stunning marina views. They serve fantastic food and fine wine within beautiful surroundings. Punchbowl and Ladle, Feock

Nestled amongst the beautiful woodlands of Feock on the outskirts of Truro, the Punchbowl and Ladle is a vibrant yet cosy Cornish pub. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy quality time together over a relaxed Sunday lunch. Their famous roasts are full of fresh, local produce that will have your mouth-watering!


Trengilly Wartha Inn, Constantine

A traditional, family-run inn situated in a beautiful, sheltered valley close to the Helford River. They are ideally located to enjoy the very best of Cornwall, with footpaths galore and beautiful stretches of coastline all within a few miles. They pride themselves on serving great tasting, locally-sourced food to an excellent standard. Their roast is of the highest local quality meat and the very best seasonal veggies – you’ll not be disappointed.



Trelowarren Arms, Budock Water

A proper Cornish pub in a proper Cornish village, this busy pub in the middle of Budock Water on the edge of Falmouth is a regular spot for locals and visitors alike. They use locally-sourced fresh produce for their very popular weekly Sunday roast, and you’ll find a warm atmosphere to enjoy it in.


Lewinnick Lodge, Newquay

With jaw-dropping sea views, an ocean-side terrace and easy access to Cornwall’s rugged coast path, discover Lewinnick Lodge amongst the cliffs of Pentire in Newquay. Enjoy the seascapes while you tuck into the best of Cornish ingredients with their delicious Sunday roast cooked to perfection and served with seasonal vegetables. 



The Old Coastguard, Mousehole

Situated near the fishing village of Mousehole, near the beaches and gardens of West Cornwall, the Minack Theatre and the artists’ studios of Newlyn, Penzance and St.Ives. Halestown Inn, St Ives
